Hi all,

Just a heads up that at some point I will need to upgrade the forum software form the current version 2.1 RC4  (think of that as a beta version) to the full production version 2.1

This won't make any visible changes to users, but will add security and fix a few back-end issues I am having.

The other benefit of the upgrade is that I will then be able to install some 'mods' (you might think of them as plugins) to add functionality to teh forum if / when necessary.

The first of these will be an anti-spammer mod.


The main reason for this post is to advise that the upgrade process will involve the forum being DOWN for up to a couple of hours (but probably much less).
I'll let you know ahead of time when I got o do the upgrade.

Update - I'm planning to do so within the next week or so.
As stated forum will be down for a few hours when that happens.

You will need to know your password to log back in as the site cookies will change.

Ok so it hasn't happened yet - stuff has happened in work and personal life etc

It will happen eventually
