Positive post about Youtube

I for one am always quick to yell about Youtube, but I figured might as well give them a little love too. So I propose this to be, my favorite thing about Youtube thread. Corny, yeah probably but why not. It doesn't always have to be so negative.

I will start it off, and its an obvious one.

- It is unlimited and free.

Well thats kind of two but they go hand in hand. Most places have a 1 or 2GB limit on videos, and /or you have to pay to have bigger videos.

I like the analytics and the fact that anyone can make a channel with the chance to "make it" is cool.  Sure most of us will never even hit 1000 subs but it's nice that we have a place where we can post our videos and get good analytics that show our progress.

I would trade 2K of them for 1K of healthy active subs. It is so unhealthy, I get less than 1% interaction rate with it. But, anyways this is supposed to be a positive thread right LOL!

I know what you mean I am on just over 600 subs but hardly get any comments , views and the watch time is usually really bad.

It seems that I only get decent views on games that I really don't want to play anymore.

I tried to play all different games. But many times I was just doing it for the channel and I was almost annoyed by it, didn't really enjoy it.  Since I didn't grow much, I said screw it I am just going to do what I want if it doesn't matter.

The one good thing about YouTube is you can share your hobbies and interests with people all over the world.

Also if it wasn't for YouTube I would really stuck when my PC goes wrong and I don't know how to fix it the tutorial videos have saved me a small fortune from having to have someone look at the computer.

I hear you there.

I learned HTML and CSS with Youtube. Built up a portfolio of sites and now I am a senior Web Developer for a large Media firm.

I do, in some way, owe Youtube a lot.

I'm a junior web developer for... me
I have found YT VERY good for learning stuff about WordPress over the years and DaVinci Resolve.

The other thing is that  its much more fun to watch other people work (whether it be furniture restoring., or mowing overgrown jungles of back yards) than it is to do any of that myself
