Just wondering what everyone else thinks about the new YouTube.
I really like it I thinks it just looks way cleaner especially the thumbs they look a lot neater.

It was well done, it was a lateral move, but it did make it look prettier.

Unfortunately with that comes other garbage.

The insertion of a massive amount of unwelcome "suggestions" in my main feed. I was waiting for this as we knew there was a possibility that Youtube is now getting money to insert videos and channels in any feed anywhere. Pay them some bucks, your channel and video will show up on some poor sods' feed.

My R&D team at work does not work much with youtube at all, in fact I am the source for most of their information. But they let me know something was in the works, according to a big client who was working directly with Youtube. Saying there was new "promotion" packages.

Once I seen WWBN 11 News in my feed for some hit and run accident in Witchita Kansas, and then "build your own engine" on a channel called Enginegrowl, and the best is the douchetoobers "I jsut got a ferrari!" bullshit.

I have spent a bit of time "do not show this channel" and "not interested" to all these things...

Can only hope it gets a bit better.

I like that they separate shorts from the rest of the videos when you visit someone's channel page.  I am bummed you can no longer sort by oldest videos as it's fun to check out older content sometimes.
