The Phantom Age-gate

So I uploaded my video up this morning and I received an Age Gate.

As normal I did my usual, I divided it into 4's to see where the problem was. But as I was doing that I noticed that my video was no longer age gated. After multiple refreshes and digging deeper, if I would publish it now, my video was not age gated.

But I clearly got an email saying it was.

I will see if they age gate it after the fact, but really? Youtube? LOL.

So apparently YT is doing something different.

usually when I load something up, it will let me know that it is age gated. No matter the level the video is at Draft, Unlisted, live.

I had an inkling that when I set it to unlisted or live it would kick the "age gate" again and I was right.

So there ya have it. They will notify you of an age gate in draft form, but it won't actually hit the video until you publish it.

Makes no sense, but then again that is YT.
