Forum upgrade July 2023

Hi all,

Just a heads up.

We are currently on forum software version 2.1 RC4  (think of that as a beta version) to the full production version.

I had planned this for a while when 2.1 final was released but, well, things happened.

A few iterations of the software have happened since -
2.1.0
2.1.1
2.1.1
2.1.2
2.1.3
2.1.4 <- current stable version


2.1

This will improve security and fix a few back-end issues.
(and a few improvements are included)

The main reason for this post is to advise that the upgrade process will involve the forum being DOWN for up to a couple of hours (but probably much less).

When will that happen? Who knows, even I don't know at the moment. Could be anytime. 

The update MAY cause you to be logged out so you may need to log in again.
