This is my longest video yet and an interesting one in that my friend recorded a lot of footage that I ended up using. Do you think the title and thumbnail are eye-catching?  The title is a wee bit click-bait-y as we don't actually talk about our cold hands in the video but rest assured that it was getting tough to film with them by the end.

This video is from a recent Sunday long run.  It's interesting in that while I don't think it's bad, I definitely don't get as excited about editing as my other videos.  Think I'm going to back off from the videos a bit and try to focus on things that really excite me.

I made a really short video about this device that lets me transfer fuel from one canister to another.  Probably not that interesting to anyone here but what I'm happiest about is the thumbnail which feels clean and eye-catching, at least to me.

I've been on an orange kick lately.

Thanks Landy.  We just got back from Scotland which was spectacular.  I quickly put together this teaser trailer which I slowly figure out how I'm going to format and present all this footage.

I'm rolling out a new series of videos from our Scotland trip.  It is my (misguided) hope that this will be a boon to my channel.  They'll be a mix of hiking/touristy stops so I'm not sure how they'll be received by the regulars from across the pond seemed to enjoy this first one so that's a positive!

These videos are taking a while to put together but I'm enjoying them and I think they will drive some excellent traffic and subs to my channel by the time the series is over.

Finally made it back up to the White Mountains for another backpacking trip.  This video came out pretty good and I enjoyed a fantastic sunset at the top.

Thanks, sure was!  This next video was shot the following day.  These day hike videos never do as well as the overnight ones.  Beyond the variety that the backpacking ones provide, I think it's easier to tell a "story" in an overnight video rather than these videos focusing on a single days effort.  For the previous video, a couple people commented on the story which is interesting because I hadn't thought about it while editing.  But it basically has two strands:

Will I make it to the summit for sunset?
How will I cook my dinner since I forgot the pot?

Basic questions really but I hadn't thought about how they give the video purpose and questions to answer.  Someone else suggested that I make the titles of the videos more interesting - pose a question or point out something interesting.  I'm giving that a shot in this video which features a "sasquatch trap" that I discovered.

Thank you sir.  At this point I'm coasting by on years of past training.  I haven't been training consistently since Covid started.  I have a 24 hour race on Friday that I suspect will put me in my place.
