I don't love the name of my channel but it's good enough for now.  Maybe I'll rebrand if I make it to 1000 subs.  I've been struggling with the content lately but at the last minute I came up with the idea for a review of my 2021 adventures.  It came out alright:


Just came back from a short hiking trip to the mountains with my wife and I have a backpacking trip with friends in two weeks so I'm looking forward to getting a decent string of content going soon.

Glad winter is finally back in New Hampshire.  Had a great hike up there with my wife last week. 

Spent the night out in the woods this past Saturday.  Primarily to test out my new tarp but also to test my winter gear before I backpack in the mountains next weekend.

Same day as that video above, I went down to the beach to participate in a impromptu race.  It was more of a fun run remembering this event from years past.  Made a short video but since I was running it limited the amount of footage I got.  Then I ran and got my drone to add some aerial shots of the last few runners.

Mate being outdoors / camping in that sort of weather does not appeal to me AT ALL.

Ha, it's definitely type 2 fun.  But I will say that I was damn comfy in my hammock in the morning.  It was satisfying to relax with the wind/rain whipping just outside.

We finally got a decent amount of snow here in Rhode Island.  It won't last long so I got out while I could.

In my niche of hiking/backpacking, gear loadout videos often do fairly well.  I'm hoping this one generates some interest in my channel.  What do you think of the thumbnail?

Good idea on the outline!

Here's a short video of a hike from this past Saturday.  It snowed throughout which made for some fine slow-mo footage.

This was a tough backpacking trip but I'm happy with how the video turned out.  Always hard to film in the cold so I didn't get as much footage around camp as I wanted.  But I hope to have another mountain overnight in a couple weeks so I can take some lessons away from this trip to use going forward.
