Video upload error

I have been trying to upload a longplay to my YouTube channel but keep getting an error about the video being too long.

I checked the video and it's 37GB and just under 8 hours way below the 12 hours and 250GB limit.

Which left me thinking I have 5 Videos uploaded and scheduled to go live on set days could this lead to the error ?

8 hours?  Good lord.     Why so long?  Are people actually watching these?

It's just I used to split the Gameplays into parts the first part was more popular with 60-100 views but when it got to part 15 plus I was lucky to get 1 or 2 views.
So I started to do longer videos with chapter timestamps.

I'm fascinated to know what kind of Watch Time you're getting with those.  How much are people viewing?

I think it really depends on the game a longplay of Supercow which was about 5.5 hours got 1.1k views and 461.5 watch hours.

My usual watch time ranges from 1-10 hours depending on how popular the game is.

I did think of editing the videos down to just the more interesting parts of the game but I got a lot of negative feedback from viewers complaining that I missed out this bit or that bit.

Sort of damned if you do, damned if you don't I guess.  Well I suppose you should take the opinions of your viewers into account.  But I wonder how many people are turned off by super long videos and don't even click on them?  Tough call.

Not sure but maybe add up the GB and time of the videos waiting to be published, see if it exceeds the limits. Maybe they take it as a whole and not an individual video?
