You can't say you didn't try.  Your channel appears to have been targeted by the YouTube algorithm as a dissenter and troublemaker.  It's strange but sucky.

Finally reached my limit with Youtube. You can go so far, deal with so much crap but eventually it just wears you down and you just have to concede.

The age gate issue that makes no sense and is broken, the "6" viewers when I had 9 on stream at one time (they said it was to verify they were not robots, WTF cares on a stream / vid that has a max of 40 views?), and now this take away the "advanced features" you have to verify yourself... Really? Despite being an active member for over 15 years, 1600 videos, even a Premium YT member... not to mention the fallout of that verification, my channel is not working correctly.

It was the final straw.

My episodic videos, though I was down to one BECAUSE of Premiere & YT, are done. I don't plan on uploading anything else. Not worth the hassle anymore. Tara Dikoff, SEVEN seasons, going on 7 or 8 years long. Is just DONE. Stops. I should post a quick finale video to put the final nail in the coffin.

I only plan on streaming there because it actually works out for me well. YT is good for my streams and they can keep my streams available in full 60fps 1080p. Happy with that, until I am sure they will **** that up too eventually. Plus  I dislike Twitch A LOT, Mix is weird and I am not sure about any other place to do it, nor should I.

I have a few other places I am starting to use, one I will not mention here, (insert 13 year old kid giggling) I am allowed to have unclothed characters so I am just having a ton of fun with that. The bonus (I said bonus...) I am also learning Resolve and despite its interface, I am getting use to it and liking it. WEEE, the one silver lining in the dark abyss of YT and Adobe.

Yeah, I know. Boo hoo and all that. Just posting for attention (which is fair) but it is more in frustration that has run it's course and now turned into reality.

They are never going to change, and even when they do ONE good thing, they follow up with 5 odd, weird, useless, horrible things. At what point do you keep going. It's the whole "definition of insanity" thing...

Probably means I am not going to post much on this board anymore, though it has been on life support for some time now. I was hoping it would stay afloat.

If I never get to talk with you guys again, have a good one and best of luck to you with YT, you will need it.

Nope. It's legit.

Not like anyone ever knows why they do anything, not until months later. Its just how crappy the company is run.

I havent heard past the 6th one that I heard about from friends, colleagues. I can only think it was sent to anyone who had a video age gated. Most of my friends have had one or two hit.
 

That's...strange.  Sounds like some kind of scam frankly.  Are you sure you're sending videos to YouTube and not some creepy basement dude?

Just heard from the 5th person who got the same email.

2 of them said ^%$# that, and will no longer use YT.

Th other three reluctantly did a face cam.

Last YOUTUBE meeting:

"How do we prune out all of these small channels and stop them from uploading videos?"

Pause...

So this weekend I found out that YT took away my "advanced" features.

I mean they really didn't, I could still do most of them except put in a link in my description that wasn't YT's.

Said I had to verify the account because I did not have enough presence on the platform.

17 years on youtube.

over half million views
2 million hours
YT Premium account.

I mean at what point am I not verified? LMAO.

To verify, I had to record myself for 15 seconds on a video and send that to them.

No sh*t. Can't make this stuff up.

I would say they are just picking on me but I know of 4 other people this happened too... so what the %@#$ is going on with YT?

If they wanted to prune out the middle range to little channels, this is how you do it. Two of my friends said they wont get verified, they are not recording themselves and the other ways are unacceptable. One is borderline illegal, I know because Facebook had issues shortly after they tried it.

Why can't Youtube just be normal, simple and behave? Why all the drama, the extra bullshit that only worsens the platform.

I know this place is not booming yet. I hope it does. But I was thinking when I last logged on to the site that we may have too many forum sections. Even with my 4k monitor I can't see there are more, I have to scroll to see. I have a few times not realized there was a new post farther down the list. Plus there are some sections that are not used and I dont think will.

JUST my opinion, nothing more.

Announcements & Forum Guides can be combined with Forum Support

YouTube Chat, Gossip & Help - Stand on its own, by far the most used one.

Branding and Channel Design can be combined with Graphics, Intros & Music.

YouTube Tutorials, Articles & Resources - I think I would just use the YT Chat section, I would remove this.

Copyright, Claims, Strikes & Legal Discussion - I use the YT Chat for this. Not sure we need this either.

Videos & Channels - The second most used area. Should stand on its own.

Reviews & Channel Feedback - Combine it with the above one? It is not used.

Collaborations - Doubt anyone will use this area either, I would remove this.

(Again this is just my opinion, I apologize if I am being too forward)

Video Editing, Software & Computers, Video and Audio Recording, Cameras, Lighting & Microphones - should be combined.

Scripts, Script Writing, Video Ideas & Planning - I dont think anyone would use this section.

Introductions - Another decently used area. Stand on its own.

Milestone Announcements - I would use YT Chat for this.

Off Topic - A definite need for any forum.
